About the role

We are building a gift-focused app that helps people discover and choose thoughtful, exciting and memorable gifts for different occasions.

We are looking for a Gift Curator to join our team in Port Harcourt. This person will be responsible for discovering interesting gift products, researching trends, creating gift collections and helping us build a catalogue of gift ideas that people will genuinely want to buy and give.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is creative, highly curious, organised and naturally good at understanding what makes a gift special.

What you will do

  • Research and discover interesting gift products, brands and experiences.
  • Identify gift ideas for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, Valentine's Day, Christmas, graduations, corporate gifting and other occasions.
  • Create themed gift collections and gift recommendations.
  • Research local vendors, stores, brands and suppliers that could be relevant to our platform.
  • Evaluate gifts based on quality, uniqueness, presentation, price and suitability for different occasions and budgets.
  • Keep up with gift, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, food and consumer trends.
  • Help develop creative gift boxes and curated gift experiences.
  • Take and organise product information, images, prices and descriptions for our catalogue.
  • Work closely with the founding/product team to develop new gifting concepts.
  • Visit stores, vendors and markets when necessary to discover new products.
  • Help us continuously improve the quality and variety of gifts available through the app.

Who we're looking for

You don't necessarily need years of experience in gifting. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent taste and a strong sense of what makes a gift appealing.
  • Is creative and constantly discovering new products, brands and ideas.
  • Understands trends and what people actually like to buy.
  • Is highly organised and pays attention to detail.
  • Can research products and vendors independently.
  • Has strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Is comfortable using Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and other platforms to discover trends and products.
  • Can work independently and take initiative.
  • Is willing to physically visit vendors and stores around Port Harcourt.
  • Has a genuine interest in gifting, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, food, experiences or consumer products.

Important requirement

This is an on-site position in Port Harcourt

Applicants must currently be in Port Harcourt, or be able to relocate and work on-site.

Remote applicants will not be considered.

Compensation

₦150,000 monthly.
